Google Books Downloader for Windows and Mac OS X
Google has announced the launch of its new service; Google Books. Currently, you can purchase books (U.S. only) or download more than 3 million free books from anywhere in the world using this service.
As announced by Google, the aim of this project is to provide users with their own bookshelf on hand, no matter where they are. Purchased or downloaded books can be read using a desktop browser, as well as through mobile devices based on the Android operating system or iOS. Additionally, the books can be read on any e-reader with Adobe Digital Editions software.
As opposed to the Picasa service which provides an access to photos, the Google Books service does not allow users to download free electronic editions without digital copy protection and use them on other devices. Google Books Downloader is a little software that allows you to save these books in PDF, JPEG or PNG format (note: it supports only the books marked as "full view").

Advance RAR Password Recovery Crack Any RAR Passwords Protected File
This
program recovers forgotten passwords for RAR archives. Recovery runs in
the background and resumes on the next system start-up. When you have
completely forgotten a password, Advanced RAR Password Recovery will run a brute-force attack that applies all possible combinations one by one.
In such a case, you can set the minimum and maximum number of characters and the character sets you used (letters, numbers, and non-English characters). If you recall part of the password, you can restrict the search area with a mask. If you have used a meaningful word for your password, the dictionary attack helps. You can plug in external dictionaries and check all possible lowercase and uppercase combinations. To decrease recovery time, the program optimizes its code for each type of processor. The trial version limits recovery to three-letter combinations, which doesn't give you the opportunity to fully evaluate performance. If you've forgotten the password for an important archived document, however, Advanced RAR Password Recovery may save you.

YouTube, the extremely popular video sharing website by Google averaging

manner that only few of the most experienced users seem to know about
them. This article contains some such features, tips and tricks.

Watch ASCII Star Wars in Windows XP, Vista, 7 and 8
Every one of us has watched Star Wars on television, computer or in a theater. It is the same movie with aliens fighting each other for galaxies and such stuff. There is nothing new in it. But wait, have you watched an ASCII( American Standard Code for Information Interchange) version of Star Wars and that too in Windows using telnet? A word mostly linked with computer wizards. Well if you have not, then you must do it now!
There is a complete copy of Star Wars done entirely in ASCII characters that you can watch in the Windows operating system (or any OS that supports telnet). The only thing required to watch it is an internet connection; speed does not matter.
To watch it on Windows XP,
- Go to Start, Run.
- Now type "telnet towel.blinkenlights.nl" without the quotes and press Enter.
On Windows 8, Windows 7 and Windows Vista
Telnet is turned off by default in the latest versions of Windows. So, in order to watch star wars, you must first enable telnet by going to Control Panel › Programs › Turn Windows Feature On or Off and ticking both the telnet check boxes. After doing that, follow the steps given below:-
- Go to Start, Search in Windows Vista and Windows 7. On Windows 8, open the main Start page.
- Type telnet and press Enter.
- In the following command prompt window, type "o" without quotes and press Enter.
- Now type "towel.blinkenlights.nl" without the quotes and press Enter.
A command prompt window like the one in the image will open with the movie being played in it. See the movie yourself. Did you enjoy watching this new version of Star Wars? Well, I did and know it for sure that you would have too.

Recover Windows Passwords With Free Password Recovery Tools
There are times
when you forget your Windows password or someone changes it without your
knowledge. In such situations, you will be locked out of Windows. To
regain access, you can use some password recovery software to recover
your Windows password. This article contains a list of some such
password recovery software.
Note: Most of these software are available as Live CD's. (For non technical readers, a Live CD is a compact disk that contains a bootable operating system that you can use from the CD itself, without having the need to install it.)
Ophcrack
Ophcrack offers one of the best free password recovery solutions in the market. Ophcrack comes in two versions: a stand alone installer and a Live CD. The stand alone installer requires you to additionally download separate rainbow tables whereas the Live CD already has them. As the stand alone installer uses about 1.5GB of rainbow tables, it offers much better recovery. However, the download size is certainly an issue. Also, the Live CD version is a bit easier to use for cracking passwords.
So, I will discuss only the Live CD version. You must choose the right version of Ophcrack Live CD for your operating system. If you use Windows XP, the download (Ophcrack XP Live CD) is nearly 415MB whereas for Windows 7, Windows Vista and Windows 2008, it (Ophcrack Vista Live CD) is about 495MB. Ophcrack may be identified as a virus by your anti-virus software. That is a false alert and should be reported to the antivirus company.
To crack passwords with Ophcrack, download the iso file for the appropriate Live CD and burn it on a compact disk using an image burning software. If you use Windows 7, you can use your OS's inbuilt image burning software.
Then boot the computer whose password you wish to recover using that disk. Ophcrack is fully automatic and you don't need to do anything from your side. It will automatically detect users and start the password recovery process. Then, it will display their passwords on the screen. You can note them for logging in to the locked account.
Ophcrack recovers passwords nearly 99 times out of 100. Ophcrack is limited to recovering passwords upto 14 characters.
PC Login Now
If you mind downloading large amounts of data Ophcrack needs, then PC Login Now is an excellent alternative. In addition to its smaller size, its password recovery is one of the fastest and the easiest I have seen. However, PC Login Now does not actually recovers your password. It resets it.
To get started, you will need to download a nearly 60MB exe file from the PC Login Now website. Open the downloaded file to extract the ISO image of the Live CD. Burn the ISO file to a compact disk and then, boot your computer using the burned disk. PC Login Now will automatically load. Follow the on-screen instructions to choose your operating system and then the username whose password you wish to reset.
Then, choose the Password is empty checkbox to remove your password. Then, PC Login Now will ask you to reset another user's password. Choose No and then OK to restart your PC. Use a blank password while logging in and you are good to go. PC Login Now works on Windows 7, Windows XP and Windows Vista.
Offline NT Password Recovery & Registry Editor
Another open source recovery software that resets forgotten Windows passwords. Offline NT Password Recovery is also needed to be installed on a CD before working. However, there is also a version that can be installed on USB drives to create a bootable usb drive (if your motherboard supports it). Its small size (nearly 3MB) makes it an excellent alternative to other bulky recovery options.
It just has one con. Its interface being completely text based is not for the lovers of GUI based systems. To reset your password, just boot into your computer using the Live CD or the USB drive and follow the on-screen instructions. Your password will be changed to a blank one. This software works on Windows 7, Windows XP, Windows NT and Windows Vista. It also supports 64 bit versions of these Operating systems.
Cain & Abel
Cain & Abel is another free password recovery software. Unlike the software mentioned above, Cain & Abel needs to be installed on another administrator account on the computer containing the locked account. It also requires separate downloading of rainbow tables. Since, you can use inbuilt Windows functions to reset a password if you have access to a working admin account on the computer, I see no use for this software unless you are desperate about recovering your password. Cain & Abel works only on Windows XP.

Recover Deleted files, Undelete Files in Windows with Free Tools
Have you ever
deleted a file that you did not wish to and wanted to recover it but did
not find it in the recycle bin? You probably deleted it permanently
with Shift+Delete or emptied the Recycle Bin. Now what? Don't worry, you
may still have a chance to get it back. This article lists some free
software that can recover deleted files from your hard drive or any
other storage device instantly.
But how do the software mentioned below undelete deleted files?
When
files are deleted, Windows does not delete them from your hard disk.
It marks the storage space as empty for new data to be written
and deletes the index entry that tells the location of those files.
Unless, new files are written on that space, the deleted files are still
recoverable. That's what allows these software to recover deleted
files. They just modify the data attached by Windows to deleted files to
say these are 'regular' files.
There are many free software that allow users to do this. Some of them are given below:-
1) Pandora Recovery
Pandora Recovery
is a free software that offers a wizard based interface for recovering
files. It allows you to browse a drive's individual folders to look for
deleted files. It also allows you search for a deleted file based on its
name, file size, creation and date and last access time. Its deep scan
allows you to recover files that other software might have missed.
Although deep scan does not return a file's original name and location,
it still is effective to recover data from drives with corrupted file
tables, recently formatted drives and even from CD's and DVD's.
2) TOKIWA DataRecovery
At just over 200KB, TOKIWA DataRecovery is the smallest file recovery program in the market. It supports undeletion from FAT 12, FAT16, FAT32 and NTFS
file systems. It also supports recovering NTFS compressed and EFS
encrypted files. This software supports Windows and is portable as well.
It also has a file shredder that allows you to wipe out files in a
manner that they cannot be recovered again.
3) Recuva
Another great freeware, Recuva
offers a wizard based interface to unerase files. Recuva offers
scanning deleted files based on their type (music, pictures, videos
etc.). It also allows deep scanning in case a file you deleted is
unrecoverable via normal search. Like TOKIWA DataRecovery, Recuva also
offers securely deleting files. Recuva also has a portable version that you can keep in your flash drive.
All of these recovery software support recovery from memory sticks, digital camera cards and MP3 players. They support undeleting all types of pictures, softwares, movies and documents from both FAT and NTFS formatted drives . They work on Windows 8, Windows 7, Windows Vista and Windows XP.
Some important tips to increase the chances of getting your deleted files back:-
1) When a file is deleted accidentally on a storage device, make sure that you don't do anything on it as doing that would increase the chances of new data being written over your deleted files; which would make file recovery impossible.
2) If you have deleted files on your main computer (the one you are using right now), do not browse the internet, download new software or shut it down. Keep it running and go to another computer, download one of the software mentioned above that is portable and save it on a flash drive. Then plugin the flash drive in your current system and perform file recovery. Regardless of whether you accidentally delete files a lot or not, make sure to always have that software in your flash drive in case you accidentally delete important files.
3) If one software fails to recover your deleted file, it does not mean that another one wouldn't recover it too.
But how do the software mentioned below undelete deleted files?

There are many free software that allow users to do this. Some of them are given below:-
1) Pandora Recovery
2) TOKIWA DataRecovery
3) Recuva

All of these recovery software support recovery from memory sticks, digital camera cards and MP3 players. They support undeleting all types of pictures, softwares, movies and documents from both FAT and NTFS formatted drives . They work on Windows 8, Windows 7, Windows Vista and Windows XP.

Gmail Size Search Operator Locates all the Emails with Large Attachments
The new size search operator in Gmail helps you locate all the big emails in your Gmail inbox that have large file attachments.

Search Gmail messages by Size using the undocumented “size” operator
Gmail supports an undocumented “size” search operator that will let you quickly find all the big emails in the mailbox whose size exceeds a particular threshold. The search syntax is:
size:[size in bytes]To give a real example, a Gmail search query like size:5242880 will list all big emails who size is 5 MB or greater while size:10485760 list messages that are bigger than 10 MB.
The size operator requires size in bytes (1 MB = 1048576 Bytes) but to make things a bit easier to remember, you can also think of the number as 1 followed by 6 zeros.
Update: As some have pointed in the comments, you may now specify the size in MB as well which makes it a lot easier. For instance, size:5MB (or even size:5M) will find all Gmail message that are 5 MB or greater in size.
Once you have spotted the large emails attachments that are taking too much space, apply the #googleDrive label to directly save those attachments to Google Drive before deleting them from your Gmail mailbox.

Introducing Croak.it, your voice on the web

Texting may still be cool in the world
of BBMs and WhatsApp, but imagine a tool that lets you easily
communicate with your voice without spending a dime on the web. We
aren’t hinting at Skype, but at Croak.it – a brand new way to share your
voice over the internet.
Launched last week, Croak.it’s mantra is
simple. It lets people interact using 30 second voice notes generated
over unique URLs to share anywhere on the web. Croak.it does this
through a web app, mobile app and a bookmarklet.
Croak.it is the brainchild of two IIT
Kharagpur students, Srinivasa Teja and Protik Roychowdhury,
conceptualized back in January 2011. After launching it within campus,
the application became an instant hit, helping the two founders realize
Croak.it’s potential on the web. The fact that it all began from an
impromptu bathroom singing competition at their campus dormitory, is
either a tribute to their batchmates’ lousy voices (a croak!) or a
hat-tip to Croak.it’s amphibian ambassador. Or both.
To experience firsthand what Croak.it is all about, simply visit http://croak.it.
Not only are you greeted by a logo that happily reminds you of Froggy
Jump, but a large button encased inside a wood-paneled ancestral radio
immediately draws your attention, inviting you to “push” it and “croak”.
We recommend doing just that, provided you have a built-in microphone
in your laptop or desktop PC.
After hitting the “croak” button, a
countdown timer informs you of the 30 second time limit – that’s all the
time you have to record a voice note. Once you finish speaking, your
brand new “croak” is saved and the console reveals a unique URL to hear
your croak or voice note. One-click buttons to copy and share your croak
on Facebook and Twitter also appear. Croak.it also lets you adjust the
pitch and tempo of your voice note – a thoughtful post-processing
feature.
Croak.it’s also available as a mobile
app on iOS and Android platforms for now, and it is simple and easy to
use as well – we tried the iPhone app and found it even simpler to use
than the existing web app.

According to its founders, Croak.it is determined to make interactions over the web simple and fast. Through its API,
Croak.it makes it easy for web developers and online businesses to
incorporate this unique voice service onto their platform. Imagine live
chat widgets on websites replaced by a “croak” button? It’s nice to have
that option.
The beauty of Croak.it is it just works
like a charm. It doesn’t promise you the moon, but it does what it aims
to do pretty darnn well, just as advertised – Push, Speak, Share. We can
see how Croak.it tries to bring the focus back on voice communication
over the web, and it can be especially useful in an environment shackled
by the constraint of written words.
Whether Croak.it will realize its
founders’ dream to “revolutionize” the way we communicate through the
web remains to be seen. But for now, it’s a useful new way of
communicating with your voice, something we haven’t done enough.
So yeah, go “Croak” some.Another large collection of Free Microsoft eBooks and Resource Kits for you, including: SharePoint 2013, Office 2013, Office 365, Duet 2.0, Azure, Cloud, Windows Phone, Lync, Dynamics CRM, and more
Last week, I put up my Large Collection of Free Microsoft eBooks
post (60+ eBooks) here on the blog and the response and feedback I am
receiving about it is incredibly positive about how much you liked it.
Because of this, I thought I would put up this follow-up post which
includes even more free Microsoft eBooks available to you for download.
Just like with the last list I published here for you, if you find this
list helpful, please share it with your peers and colleagues so that
they too can benefit from these resources.
I
hope you find these eBooks helpful as well. Once again, if you do,
please share these with your peers and colleagues so that they too can
take advantage of these and benefit from them.
