Google Music Streaming : Launching Soon?

Tonight (February 24th) is the night of the Google Android Honeycomb event, where we will get our first truly back to front view of the new OS. There are plenty of exciting features to talk about here, but one of the items that might be revealed is the Google Music Library. According to Android Community, who cites unnamed insider sources, tonight will be the night that the library is opened for business.

What exactly is the Google Music Library? There are at least three major facets. First, we have the actual music player itself. We know for a fact that this is coming out, since early debugging versions have been discovered and even released to the public for the Android 2.3 smartphone line. It may be that Honeycomb has a different interface, but in either case, the new browser is packed with features.

Second, we have the “OTA download library.” Discussed at last year’s Google I/O conference, the concept here is that you can purchase a song from a large, cloud-based music storehouse. That song can then be transferred to your phone over the air, pushed to your PC library, and otherwise attached to your Google account. This is, according to AC’s unnamed sources, going to be released alongside a revamped web-based Android marketplace.

And third, we have the “full library streaming” feature. This feature would allow users to connect their phone or tablet to their computer, streaming any song that’s currently located in their computer’s music library. This, more than the other features, is in question, partially due to simply logistics and partially due to the complex legal boundaries of allowing live music streams.

We’ll find out for sure in the next 24 hours, so stay tuned for further updates. Whatever the details, there’s little doubt that Google will make quite a showing during their official Honeycomb press event.

If the domain addresses (such as us6.macrovpn.com) are not workable, you can try to the IP addresses (such as 74.86.150.154) as server name, and if one VPN server is not workable, you can try another one.

After registration, you can create a new Virtual Private Network connection with the VPN server address vpn.itshidden.com in your computer, and then you can get access to the ItsHidden VPN service with your username and password, but you need to reconnect every 20 minutes as a free user.

If the network access is not workable, you can try to change the VPN server address from vpn.itshidden.com to 94.75.253.244.

3. USA IP

For free user, you don’t need to register, just download the USAIP.pbk file, and then double-click on the file and select one of the USAIP PPTP connections. After that, you can get access to the USA IP free VPN services with the username demo and the password demo.

But you will need to reconnect the USA IP network after every 7 minutes.

How Blu-ray Discs Work

In 1997, a new technology emerged that brought digital sound and video into homes all over the world. It was called DVD, and it revolutionized the movie industry.

The industry is set for yet another revolution with the introduction of Blu-ray Discs (BD) in 2006. With their high storage capacity, Blu-ray discs can hold and play back large quantities of high-definition video and audio, as well as photos, data and other digital content.

In this article, I'll explains how the Blu-ray disc works and how it was developed, and we'll see how it stacks up against some other new digital video formats on the horizon.

A current, single-sided, standard DVD can hold 4.7 GB (gigabytes) of information. That's about the size of an average two-hour, standard-definition movie with a few extra features. But a high-definition movie, which has a much clearer image, takes up about five times more bandwidth and therefore requires a disc with about five times more storage. As TV sets and movie studios make the move to high definition, consumers are going to need playback systems with a lot more storage capacity.

Blu-ray is the next-generation digital video disc. It can record, store and play back high-definition video and digital audio, as well as computer data. The advantage to Blu-ray is the sheer amount of information it can hold:

• A single-layer Blu-ray disc, which is roughly the same size as a DVD, can hold up to 27 GB of data -- that's more than two hours of high-definition video or about 13 hours of standard video.
• A double-layer Blu-ray disc can store up to 50 GB, enough to hold about 4.5 hours of high-definition video or more than 20 hours of standard video. And there are even plans in the works to develop a disc with twice that amount of storage.

How to Use Microsoft Office Outlook Connector

If you are still using Hotmail but would prefer to access your email from a desktop client, then you might be interested to know that Microsoft has released a connector that will allow you to send and receive Hotmail or Office Live Mail through Outlook 2003 or 2007.

This is especially helpful for those of us that maintain a hotmail account but don’t like to ever check it because we don’t use it all that often.

Installation

Make sure that Outlook is closed, and then download and install the Microsoft Office Outlook Connector. Open Outlook and you’ll immediately be prompted with the settings dialog.

Enter in your account details into this screen, and then close the dialog. You’ll be prompted to restart Outlook again.

Once you’ve restarted, you’ll now see your Hotmail account in the list of mail accounts, and you can send/receive to download your messages.

If you want to send email with the hotmail account, you’ll notice a new drop-down for Account, which will let you switch the account you are sending the email as.

Hopefully this will save you some of the pain of the slow-loading hotmail website.

How to Configure Windows XP for PPPoE

To create a broadband connection using PPPoE, use the following procedure:

1. Click Start, click Control Panel, click Network and Internet Connections, and then click Network Connections.

2. Under Network Tasks, click Create a new connection, and then click Next.

How to create a system folder in My Computer

System folder like My Document which appears in My computer are special folders which appear can not be deleted. Now if you want to create something like that, a folder which cannot be deleted!!!! . Here is how you do it to create a folder which cannot be deleted!!. It should work both in XP and VISTA.

However a word of caution, If you don’t know about registry, either back up or don’t try this. I am not sure how to create a direct script for this so be cautious.

Step 1: Create a Unique Key

• Open registry with “regedit” command on run window.
• Navigate to HKEY_CLASSES_ROOT\CLSID\. Then right click and create a new key with value as {FD4DF9E0-E3DE-11CE-BFCF-ABCD1DE12345}
• Now set the default value of this key to the folder name you want to use. Now your path will look like ( I will call this as parent key throughout the discussion) HKEY_CLASSES_ROOT\CLSID\{FD4DF9E0-E3DE-11CE-BFCF-ABCD1DE12345}

Step 2: Add Custom Icon to the folder

• Now create a sub key under parent key.
• Name it as “DefaultIcon”.
• Set the default value of this to the path of the icon image you want to use.
• If you dont specify your icon, system will take default icon.

Step 3: Adding attributes

---

• Under parent key create another key with name as “InprocServer32″
• Set the default value as “shell32.dll”
• Again at the same level create another folder as “ThreadingModel” and set its value as “Apartment”
• Same way create another key (under parent level) at the same level with structure as \Shell\My Folder\Command
• Set the default value here as “explorer /root,c:\Blog Data”
• This has to be same which you gave when you created the first key.

Step 4 Adding Handlers

• Under parent key, create another key as \ShellEx\PropertySheetHandlers\ {FD4DF9E0-E3DE-11CE-BFCF-ABCD1DE12345}
• Similar way another key is to added to parent key as “Shell Folder”
• In this right click and create new binary value called as “Attributes” with value as 00 00 00 00.

Step 5: Settings to place in My Computer

• Go to HKEY_LOCAL_MACHINE\SOFTWARE\Microsoft\Windows
• Then to \CurrentVersion\Explorer\MyComputer\NameSpace\
• Add the parent key which in this case is {FD4DF9E0-E3DE-11CE-BFCF-ABCD1DE12345}

Thats it, You are done. Try this carefully and I am sure there wont be any problem. I missed the icon thing somehow, but will sure fix it. Till then if you find a fix do tell me.

How to fix the icon problem with system folder :

As per the icon issue, I had the same issue then realized it was just looking for the icon index at the end of the file path and is accomplished with a comma and your index number. If your using an .ico file the index will be 0 otherwise you’ll have to determine the index number if your using a dll or exe with multiple icons. i.e for an .ico file c:\path\Icon.ico
